Daily Living Skills
Our Daily Living Skills program is individualized to meet the abilities of each member. We provide members with the tools to better succeed in life whether they are living on their own or with family. The Daily Living Skills offer, but is not limited to: meal preparation, grocery shopping, utilizing coupons, budgeting, daily hygiene, home maintenance, house cleaning, managing personal appointments, and requesting transportation. We encourage personal Daily Skills growth, which allows members to build self-esteem, self-confidence, and social skills.
Day Service Program
The goal of Turning Point Door County is to provide individuals the skills they need for positive community interaction and home life. The program provides instruction in a wide variety of settings and teaches key skills related to independence, social interaction, and emotion regulation. These services encourage independence, social fluency, and self-regulation, which will lead to promoting successful community integration outcomes
Pre Vocational Skills
Our pre-vocational skills classes help members to prepared for daily workforce requirements. These skills can be applied to any type of job or career. Pre-vocational skills include responsibility and integrity, time management, personal appearance, working with others, conflict resolution, and so much more!
Transportation
Our Transportation services offer a reliable, safe, and secure means of transportation to and from our program, employment, field trips, and community activities for our members.
Supportive Home Care
Our Supportive Home Care services provide and support individuals with routine home care, supervision needs, and offer activities to enhance their daily living skills within their own home.
Money Management
Our Representative Payee Services offer individualized support for budgeting, bill paying, banking, reporting of earnings, and other money management services.
Supported Employment
Our Supported Employment program enables our members to become employed in our community. We provide a vocational assessment, which assists in locating a job opportunity and teaching job skills to members. These skills are used and reinforced during on-the-job coaching.
